NY SAME SEX MARRIAGE - WEDDING INDUSTRY NEWS

With the expected rise in marriages in New York with the passing of the same sex marriage law, it's logical to assume there will be an increase in revenue for wedding industry professionals.  It is anticipated that there will be a spike in tourists traveling to the New York to have their love recognized and get married. 

New York City has launched a campaign, "NYC I Do", to encourage same-sex couples to tie the knot. It is estimated that approximately $311 million of additional revenue will be generated with the passing of this new law.

This week's "Wedding Wednesday" photo is of Maritza & Michael. This photo was taken at the Franklin D. Roosevelt Boardwalk and Beach in Staten Island, NY...on a gray, rainy day.  It rained as the bride arrived for the ceremony, but then the rain decided to stop within minutes after the ceremony.  So, we seized the opportunity to take this shot with the Verrazano Bridge in the background.  Please click on image to enlarge.
